‘Earth Surface’ (2013)

The Earth’s surface is a huge canvas!
Natural processes and human-made ones inscribe into its texture like a drawing made by wind, rain, erosion and other forms of reconstitution processes.
In the vein of artmaking documented here, I had explored drawing and painting as a correlation to the inscriptive power of natural forces on land surfaces. Correlating natural processes and inscriptive artmaking processes with each other made me question in which ways ‘drawing’, might be understood in a wider, expansive sense, as connection between impulse, action, material reconstitution and participating actors.
