‘Ghosts in the machine…’ (2015)

In 2014, Sara MacKian and myself collaborated in a project that was part of Macclesfield’s Barnaby Festival’s artmaking initiatives. We aimed to explore the people, places and processes to do with music making in and around Macclesfield. We interviewed musicians, took photographs of our meetings with them, responded to meeting musicians by producing artwork, and we set up an exhibition - including a room for people to try out musical instruments. Our exhibition not only exhibited our work but became a hub for creatives and the general public in and around Macclesfield to meet and and engage with each other.
