Book: ‘Practice routes, side lines, undercurrents’ (2018)

Made as one of the final results at the end of my studies for an MA Fine Arts at the University of Chester, I compiled photographs from practical artwork into the form of a book.
The different sections of the book aimed to show natural process in the outdoor world, process as part of human material culture, and the connections between different forms of materials as they manifest to us in aesthetic relationships between colour, form and material. The materiality of the world and our practical ways of engaging with them are connected through an embodied intelligence that we use to craft new objects that fulfill needs depending on the very culture in which are are immersed.
